Felipe Acuña, 77, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. Felipe retired after 35 years of service as a Crane Engineer with ASARCO. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maria Luisa Acuña, children Cynthia Dante Ferro (Lorenzo), Felipe Acuña Jr. (Maria), Mercy Rubio (Oscar), Martha Hudson (Ernesto), Wally Acuña (Suzette) and Abril Acuña, his sister Josefina Jasso, grandchildren Myriah, Joe, Chris, Oscar, Ernesto, John, Doreen, Celeste and Diego. Felipe Acuña, 77, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. Felipe retired after 35 years of service as a Crane Engineer with ASARCO. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maria Luisa Acuña, children Cynthia Dante Ferro (Lorenzo), Felipe Acuña Jr. (Maria), Mercy Rubio (Oscar), Martha Hudson (Ernesto), Wally Acuña (Suzette) and Abril Acuña, his sister Josefina Jasso, grandchildren Myriah, Joe, Chris, Oscar, Ernesto, John, Doreen, Celeste and Diego. Felipe is also survived by his great grandchildren Azaleia, Jenesis, Josiah, Jonah, Joline and Zoee. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 7th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina, with Vigil beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 8th at 11am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Felipe will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of cars, his willingness to help anyone in need and for his witty sense of humor.
